Founded in 2001, Ricova is a family-owned company with over three decades of expertise in the recycling industry. As the only fully integrated Quebec-owned company, from collecting to transport, material processing, and recovery, Ricova has established a strong reputation that ensures seamless management of all stages of the recycling chain in Quebec and beyond.
Leveraging an extensive and diverse business network, the organization works diligently to identify global markets for recyclable materials. Ricova continues to create new opportunities for sorting centers, businesses, and citizens alike.

Ricova unites all waste and recycling activities, operating a fleet of over 170 trucks and managing two specialized centers for sorting and recycling a wide range of materials, including cardboard, mixed paper, plastics, metals, and glass.
With extensive expertise and experience, Ricova plays a vital role in collecting, processing, and marketing a significant portion of recyclable materials from sorting centers across Quebec, while incorporating a comprehensive organic matter recovery strategy.

Currently, organic matter accounts for approximately 60% of the 5.8 million tonnes of waste disposed of each year in Quebec. This sector also represents the fifth largest GHG emitter in Quebec. It is responsible for approximately 4.55 million tonnes of CO2 equivalent emissions per year.
