Once again, this year, we are celebrating Earth Day. What has changed since last year?
Ricova is pleased to take part in this symbolic day on April 22nd to join the vast planetary movement and to highlight its efforts to reduce its ecological footprint. For Ricova’s teammates and customers, every day is a day to protect the environment…because every gesture counts!
Activities are organized everywhere on this day to raise awareness of the environment impact of our actions. For Ricova, this day is not just an opportunity to express concern for the environment. It is also an opportunity for Ricova, as a serious company, to reflect on its environmental responsibility, while demonstrating its commitment.
We are, indeed, committed to making a positive difference for the future of our planet. We encourage our employees, partners, and divisions to help raise awareness of environmental issues, and to adapt new habits that are more respectful or our ecosystems.
Towards 14 001 Certification
To achieve this, Ricova is currently working towards obtaining its ISO 14 001 Certification. Ultimately, this certification will recognise Ricova’s environmental responsibility, a recognition that will open up new business opportunities. Since today, corporate social responsibility (CSR) is at the heart of the development of many organisations, including Ricova. This certification, also, demonstrates the organisation’s commitment to reducing its environmental impact, while meeting stakeholders’ expectations of sustainable development.
It is Ricova’s duty to demonstrate integrity and commitment throughout its activities, whether administrative or operational. This applies to the environment, as we ensure that our products, services and processes are eco-responsible to minimize our environmental impact.
From collection to transportation and processing, as well as the export of recyclable materials, Ricova handles all stages of the recycling chain in Quebec and elsewhere. At the same time, we are committed to continually reviewing our methods to keep pace with the ever-changing climatic and environmental issues.
